THREAD UP ST. LOUIS

Don't miss THE ThreaD EVERY SATURDAY MORNING
AT 8:30 ON
The Thread: School Day!

It may be the weekend, but Season 2 of The Thread is kicking off in the classroom! Virginia and Tim are going back to school at Gordon Bush Elementary School.

The Thread: Looking Back, Looking Forward

What a year! We're talking a look back at the first season of The Thread. How did this whole journey get started? What has Virginia learned about Tim? What has Tim learned about Virginia? What are some of the stories behind the stories? We're not only looking back, we're looking forward.

The Thread: Bon Appetit!

Who's hungry? No matter who you are or where you're from, everybody needs food. Team Thread is cooking up some fun this week at Time For Dinner as they put their culinary skills to the test.

The Thread: A Six Flags Scream or Two, or Maybe a Dozen

Team Thread falls from the sky at Six Flags and no one is around to see it...can everybody in the park still HEAR it? The answer is a resounding YES!!! See (and hear) what happens when Tim and Virginia tackle a few thrill rides at Missouri's Coaster Capital.

The Thread: Gators and Caverns and Ziplines- Oh My!

Tim Ezell is in need of an adventure and Virginia has found one in Stanton, Missouri. The Thread is headed underground for a tour of Meramec Caverns, on the water for a canoe trip (wait'll you see this team paddling around the river!), and high in the sky for some fun on the Caveman Zipline. But that's not all, they're also doing some summer cleaning at Riverside Wildlife Center...as in cleaning out the gators!!! You'll also learn about the heart behind the amazing missions of The Covering House and LaunchCode here in St. Louis and discover what happens when a college president hits the road to connect with alumni around the country. Did I mention Tim and Virginia are handling alligators?

The Thread: To The Circus

What's your calling in life? With Virginia in Merry Olde England, Tim believes his call is to join the circus. The circus may have other thoughts! Can Tim cut it under the Big Top?

128: The Thread: What a Workout!

It’s time for Team Thread to shape up! Are the up for the challenge their trainer has for them? What are the chances Tim and Virginia get lost on a 1 1/2 mile run? Did you say 100%?

The Thread: Celebrating Some Special Moms!

Mother’s Day is a busy time for florists, so Team Thread is offering their services to Walter Knoll during the holiday rush. Tim and Virginia have no floral experience, but perhaps they have hidden talent (or not). They can certainly deliver flowers (right?) and we can’t wait for you to meet the moms they met along the way.

The Thread: People Need People

The greatest resource we've been given is one another, and we have some incredible stories people moving to the needs of people this week on The Thread. Hear the amazing story of John O'Leary, who at the age of 9 was badly burned and given little chance to live. One man came to his  aid and lit a fire in him to live! When is a a handshake more than a handshake? a 5th grade teacher in Wright City has the answer. Learn how a young girl turns her pain from losing a loved one into a mission moving to the needs of kids with cancer. And can anyone help Tim and Virginia grow as a team?

The Thread: Back to the Future

This weeks episode of The Thread was filmed live on location at St. Charles Community College.  Check out the '80s theme.

The Thread: Easter Egg-Stravaganza

What happens when The Thread takes on the Eckert's Egg Hunt? Here's a hint: Eggto Blasters! Tim and Virginia bring in some high tech help for the hunt! What do they find? Some amazing people! Meet Kelly and Kevin and here their incredible stories. See how Lindsay takes trash and turns it into treasure. And experience the infectious energy and excitement of Angie and witness her loving on people! Oh yeah, see what happens when Tim comes face to face with a three-foot chocolate bunny!

The Thread: Three Cheers (and then some) for Opening Day!

Are you ready for St. Louis' official unofficial holiday? The Thread sure is! We are fired up and ready to cheer on the Cardinals, and we're looking for some help. Tim and Virginia are rounding up a whole crew of Cardinal superfans! When is a home run more than a home run? You'll find out, when we introduce you to the Sullivan Eagles softball team. Have you ever wondered why there are no cheerleaders in baseball? Tim and Virginia have, and they are in search of a reason why. And when is ballpark food more than ballpark food? When Tim makes the menu, of course!

The Thread: Home Alone

Virginia and Tim have completed their DIY office redecorating project. Virginia is leaving town for a week, leaving Tim in charge of the office and the show. Uh oh.

Do you smell trouble? Virginia does! (she also smells corn dogs). Wait 'til you see what Tim and his friends are up to this week: the good, the bad, and the doggy!

Look out St. Louis, Tim is loose in the Thread Sled and roaming all around town!

The Thread: DIY Day

Don't look now, but The Thread is stepping into the world of home improvement.

With a new office space, Virginia is in the mood for a makeover. That means it's time for Tim to get to work (don't worry, Virginia has a few secret weapons to help). As they pursue their DIY destiny, Tim and Virginia will take you to a place in Edwardsville, Illinois that restores furniture as a way to restore lives.

You'll also meet the folks at Anew Nature, who not only build fabulous furniture, but also build a future for their employees.

Will this DIY duo complete this project? Are they up to the challenge? Can Virginia keep Tim on tasks (delicious biscuits may be a problem.)

The Thread: We're Going Racing!

Are you ready for some fun in the fast lane? The Thread is hitting top speed at Gateway Motorsports Park. Buckle up for one wild ride as Tim and Virginia take on the track. Is the Bommarito Thread Sled ready for the drag strip? What happens when you turn Tim and Virginia loose on 60 mph karts? Can these two cut it as a pit crew? Why should you NOT park your brand new Camaro on the track (with the keys inside) when Tim and Virginia are roaming the grounds? You’ll find out! You’ll also learn how the folks at Gateway are using the track to serve the community. See how a 9 year-old girl is on the right track when it comes to serving others. And catch how one woman’s struggle as a child has moved her to move to the needs of children in our area.

The Thread: Thread Up Round UP

Saddle up, ThreadHeads, it's time for a 'Thread Up round up! We're finding out how many acts of kindness we can corral in one morning.

See how one St. Louis family serves the community by throwing one big ballroom bash! Meet a group of moms doing whatever it takes to meet the needs around them. See how one man's heart and determination is helping a woman hear again. Learn the impact of an apple a day, especially when that Apple is an iPad. Witness the thrill of celebrating a 102nd birthday with a dance! And through the eyes of others, experience the overwhelming joy of giving.

The Thread: The Reallywed Game

Love is in the air and all over The Thread this week! It's a special Valentine’s episode and we’re celebrating the occasion with a game show! Three couples will battle it out on The Reallywed Game.

How do Tim and Virginia fare as game show hosts? What cost them their job at the chocolate factory? How can ice cream build a bridge to community? What is the recipe for love at Lorusso’s? And who thought it would be a good idea to put Tim Ezell in a kissing booth?

The Thread: The Winter Warm Up Experience

It may be winter, but The Thread has baseball on the brains as Tim and Virginia take in the Cardinals Winter Warm-Up.

Ever wonder how two people can experience the same event differently? Wonder no more as we see this St. Louis tradition through both Tim's and Virginia's eyes. Both attend the event, play games, spend some quality time with Cardinal icons, and yet, they have very different experiences.

How does Tim cut it as a sports reporter talking to Big Leaguers? How does Virginia feel about elevators? How does Adam Wainwright feel about Tim Ezell as a doctor? Will Tim need a doctor after Virginia gets her credit card statement? Are Tim and Virginia up for a lake swim in the middle of winter?
